Johanna Fallert

Johanna Fallert is an environmental activist and a member of the Dutchess County Progressive Action Alliance and Mothers Out Front Dutchess. She has worked to inform the public about the impacts of air pollution from fracked-gas power plants in New York. In 2019, she co-organized “Earth to Cuomo: The Rally for New York’s Climate.” She is currently working to establish a composting program in Poughkeepsie that would divert food scraps from the municipal solid waste sent to landfills or incinerators, thereby reducing methane emissions while creating healthy organic matter that enriches the soil.

Help Quit the Plastic Habit

Environmental, civic, and community groups, including bottle distributors, are calling on a bigger, better bottle bill in New York.
