Membership

We’re looking to double our membership by the end of 2021—and we’re off to a good start. Will you help us get there?

Your support keeps us going.

Your monthly support helps us provide essential coverage of the Hudson Valley and Catskills. Strong communities depend upon good and timely information. Ensure we are able to continue our work by becoming a member today.

We have three tiers of membership:

Informed • $5 per month or $55 annually
  • Free event access. The River not only brings local news directly to your inbox, we bring it to you live, too. Members receive free access to all in-person or virtual events.
  • Bonus newsletters. You’ll get Lissa Harris’s weekly Climate Lab newsletter, occasional behind-the-scenes newsletters, and other special messages from our editors.
Engaged • $10 per month or $110 annually
  • All the Informed benefits, plus…
  • Got print? Members unlock exclusive discounts on print subscriptions to our sister publications Chronogram and Upstate House.
Involved • $20 per month or $220 annually
  • All the Engaged benefits, plus…
  • Happy hour! We love a good get-together. Get exclusive access to quarterly happy hour events (virtual or in-person) to chat about what’s happening in our area, pitch story ideas, ask questions, or just get to know us a little better.

If you would prefer to make a one-time donation, you can do so at this link.
